Great actors are born with more highly developed imaginations. To use a popular definition of acting: These children have an innate inclination to “live, behave, and do truthfully under the given set of imaginary circumstances.” A talented actor without training is like a river running wildly.

Do you think acting can be learned or is it just a natural gift?

As for natural talent, it certainly helps to be born with the ability to perform. But acting is also something that can be learned and mastered through lots of practice. Like any skill, it can be taught. With passion and perseverance, you can be a great actor…even if it doesn’t come naturally.
