Learning Thai helps you better understand the culture. The more you pick up the more you will understand Thai people, and easier you will find it to integrate into a community, enabling you to make Thai friends and understand local lingo.

Is Thai language worth to learn?

It is totally worth to study Thai in case you intend to live there. Needless to say, it is much more comfortable and convenient to speak native language while stay abroad. It is not worth if you do it only for business. Most Thai business man are good at English or speak in English more or less.

Why is it so hard to pronounce Thai?

Thai has a lot of vowels that can be tricky to pronounce for native English speakers. In order to produce some of the sounds in Thai you need to make certain shapes with your month and position your tongue in ways you’ve probably never done before. Besides the normal vowels you also have double vowels in Thai.
