As with all PRS guitars, the build quality of the PRS SE Custom 24 is very good. Though it is made in Indonesia, the materials are all of high quality and the craftsmanship is solid. The hardware is all solid, as well, from the PRS-designed tremolo bridge to the nickel tuners.

Why do people not like PRS guitars?

Some people LIKE PRS’s because the scale is somewhere between Fender and Gibson. Some people don’t like them because the scale is neither Fender nor Gibson. If you want to sound like your favorite player, and he doesn’t play a PRS, a PRS won’t give you that sound.

a PRS tremolo is somewhere between a strat style and a FR. it can do some pretty solid stuff, but wont do your steve vai divebombs or stuff like that. that’ll make it slip out of tune.

Why does my PRS keep going out of tune?

If you’re slightly sharp when tuning, bring it down (flat) and then back up. If you tune down to pitch, then bend or use the trem, this would cause the guitar to go out of tune as well. Also, may sure you stretch your strings. Sometimes, when I tune my PRS DGT Std, it is slightly sharp.

Unlike their Core line counterparts, PRS SE guitars are constructed in the Far East to keep costs down. Currently, all SE models are made by ‘World Musical Instruments Co. ‘ in South Korea. This is the same factory that Chapman, Schecter and Line 6 use to manufacture their guitars.
