I think it is totally inappropriate for a girlfriend or a boyfriend to in a committed relationship to sit on another person of the opposite sex’ lap. Its disrespectful to the boyfriend and it can only cause problems. There is right and wrong– and its not about control–its about respect for yourself– as well as your partner.
