Great Guitar! I own two Ibanez S series guitars that i love and play regularly. This Jem Jr.is also a great guitar. Its loud enough unpluged to practice and the Quantum pups are excellent pickups. The Jem is easy to play and very stable.

The tremolo arm action can be adjusted by using a 2.0mm Allen wrench on the screw (B) of the tremolo block. To adjust the entire tremolo unit up or down, use an Allen wrench to turn the stud bolt (E) located at the left and right of the tremolo unit. (This cannot be adjusted for each individual string.)

It’s up to you. If you will play or want to play guitar with whammy bar effects, then get a guitar with a tremolo. If you’re playing metal or hard rock, you probably would want one. But not all hard rock and metal players use the whammy bar and a guitar with no whammy is more suitable.
