You can do this most anywhere within the document, and it’s a great way to do things that would otherwise be hard in LyX. To enter this mode, press Ctrl+L, (or go to Insert LaTeX Code). Now enter any LaTeX code you want, as if it were LaTeX, not LyX.

  2. if you put your cursor inside the math box, copy (but don’t copy the entire math box), go outside of math, and paste, it will paste the LaTeX code.
