Those with the experience from state or private american colleges or equivalent, where people tend to take as many mickey mouse courses as possible and spend their time “enjoying” your life I have a message for you: KTH is NOT for you. PS: KTH has (had) world class teachers-researchers in many areas, and some Nobel prize and Fields medal winners.

Off course MIT is a better school, and tougher than KTH. I would put KTH on par with the better engineering schools at US state universities. KTH is a more practically oriented, MIT is much more theoretical. For me, the mixture was a real benefit.

KTH has a lot of homeworks to solve, and exams. KTH is a high pace university. Two courses every 4–6 weeks. Most of the universities in Sweden are designed in that way.
