On paper, the MediaTek Dimensity 1200 is a very powerful chip. It’s packing in an 8-core CPU (in a 1+3+4 config, more on that later), a Mali-G77 MC9 GPU, support for quad-channel memory, dual-channel UFS 3.1 storage (capable of 1.7 Gbps data transfer rates), dual SIM 5G, Wi-Fi 6, and a whole lot else besides.

MediaTek Dimensity 1200 comes up with 8 cores, 3000 MHz frequency and on the other hand, Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 has 8 cores and 2840 MHz frequency. In terms of Graphics, MediaTek Dimensity 1200 has Mali-G77 MC9 GPU and Valhall architecture and latter comes up with Adreno 640 GPU and Adreno 600 architecture.

Does Dimensity 1200 support LPDDR5?

Both the Dimensity 1200 and 1100 feature a Mali-G77 GPU along with a third-generation APU which is said to provide a 12.5 percent uplift in performance over the APU in the Dimensity 1000+.
