After the defeat of Argus The Unmaker, the Titans and Illidan Stormrage imprisoned Sargeras on the Seat of the Pantheon, with Illidan becoming his jailor, crippling the Legion and shattering it to the core, ending most of not all of the threat it posed – but not before Sargeras plunged his sword Gorribal into Azeroth.
