What is OpenRTB?

OpenRTB is an open protocol to automate trading of digital media. These protocol standards aim to simplify the connection between suppliers of publisher inventory (i.e. exchanges/SSPs) and the buyers (i.e. bidders, DSPs).

Real-time Bidding (RTB) is a way of transacting media that allows an individual ad impression to be put up for bid in real-time. This is done through a programmatic on-the-spot auction, which is similar to how financial markets operate.

The buyeruid field contains the Xandr User ID that you are sending to us to indicate the user that you previously matched via the usersync pixel. The bid request object has to contain a valid user ID in the buyeruid field, in order to be considered as bid request with matched user data.
