In case you miss the train from your designated boarding station, the TTE cannot allocate your berth to anyone else until the train passes the next two stops or during the next one hour (whichever is earliest). The rule thus allows you to board the train from the next upcoming station, if that is feasible.

Will train stop at intermediate stations?

No. You can’t get off at any intermediate stations where the train doesn’t stop. In most cases, if it is a major junction, the train would merely slow down to comply with the mandatory speed limits, but won’t stop.

Yes , you can anytime get down of any station before your destination, you have already paid the money to the destination so its your wish were you have to get down or even you dont want to board the train .
