Electronic devices aren’t permitted in the MRI room. To get the highest quality MRI results, your child will need to lie still during the scan.

Can you copy an MRI CD?

Copy your MRI scan to another DVD for safekeeping. When you receive an MRI scan, the technician will usually give you a DVD to take home with you. You can copy this DVD if you have the right software. Programs like Roxio and Nero can copy your MRI scan to another DVD so you have an extra copy.

How do I copy an MRI film?

You can simply tape it to your glass window and take a picture. You can stick the X ray or the MRI photo-film to an illuminated white board or a glass panel (in the medical settings we have an illuminated reading panel where the X ray film is put up for reading) and take a picture with your camera.

How do I share my MRI CD?

On your computer, visit http://www.dropbox.com and start a free account.

  1. In your new online Dropbox account, create a new folder to share.
  2. For ease of reference, name the folder something like (Firstname Lastname Spine MRI).
  3. Put CD in your computer, and open to explore folders (Do not run the CD)

Can I ask for a copy of my CT scan?

Yes, but with some caveats: The hospital or facility may require that you submit a request from their records section. The CT scan may not be processed immediately, so you may need to wait or return another day, it depends on the facility and if there are more important scans that take precedence over yours.
