Cableguys made a plug-in that’s kind of like gross beat, definitely not as good but you can do some cool stuff with it. It’s not free but only 12 bucks Cableguys’ ShaperBox is another great alternative. I think its a little more expensive than HalfTime, but also has more options

You also have some free FSU plugs like Livecut which is a kind of rhythmic buffer plugin that can produce sort of similar results (nowhere near as much control though).
