Can we quit CA during Articleship?

After a CA Student (enrolled through the CPT Route or the Direct Entry Route) is required to pursue 3 years of Articleship Training under a Chartered Accountant as a part of the CA Curriculum. During this 3 year articleship period he is allowed to take leaves and can also take articleship transfer.

Can I discontinue CA?

Since you are not completed one year,no restriction can be imposable for first year of articleship. Hence, please fill up form 109 along with a resignation letter to your principal. Please send it to regional office of ICAI.

Can a CA refuse to give his signature for articleship?

CA cannot refuse to give his signature beacuse legally your articleship is over under him the only thing he can do is to give you an extension of 1/2 months (your leave period) If nothing of the above works (In rare case it does happen) then file a complaint against the CA with your Regional Council.

When to take leave from a CA firm after articleship?

If there is only 1 or 2 months remaining to get over with your articleship then take leave from your CA firm and go after your articleship duration gets over and take the sign of CA.

How to do articleship after clearing CA Intermediate exam?

If you have cleared both the groups of CA Intermediate examination already, then you have two options a. Join industry training for the balance period of article ship. As per ICAI, your industrial training can be for a period of 9 months to 12 months. b. Join another CA firm for the balance period of article ship.

What is the procedure for termination of articleship in CA firm?

If the termination is in first year then get termination form signed and you may leave. You can continue rest of your articleship from some other CA or CA firm Medical grounds requiring discontinuance of articles for a minimum period of three months (on production of a Medical Certificate issued by a Government Hospital).
