Does McKinsey hire JDS?

Looking through the websites of the top consulting firms I can only confirm that Bain and McKinsey start J.D.s at a higher salary. Many of the other firms say they hire advanced degrees, but are silent as to whether they start off at a higher level.

TLDR: while JD technically qualifies you for consulting/business roles as associate (at least if you ask recruiters), reality is the recruiting is extremely thin and you really shouldn’t go to JD thinking, like I did, that JD is versatile.
