Children can build great knowledge from a young age with a window of opportunity to develop into anything they love. During these early years, children are naturally intrigued as they experience everything for the first time; they are constantly absorbing new information and quickly able to learn by example.

In times past, we trusted kids with small knives at 6-7 and taught them to whittle. They were taught to cut away from themselves to reduce the risk of injury and we let them be creative. If a 6-year-old can whittle, a 15-year-old can use a screwdriver.

Teenagers can definitely use power tools. Unlike a car there is no age limit. The main requirement is training in their use. I used hand power tools along side my uncle at twelve.
