Where is Guti stored?

MME allocated the GUTI. The GUTI is stored in the SIM card. In any further communication, the sim card uses GUTI not the IMSI for security purposes.

What is the GUTI? In LTE, the GUTI is the Globally Unique Temporary ID, and identifies the mobile device to the LTE network. The GUTI is assigned to the device by the Mobility Management Entity (MME), the access network’s primary control node.

What does Guti consist of?

GUTI comprised of two main components, Globally Unique Mobility Management Entity Identifier (GUMMEI) and Mobile Temporary Mobile Subscriber Identity (M-TMSI). The first part uniquely identifies a MME and the second part identifies a user.

What is Guti attach?

What is 5G Guti?

The 5G-GUTI is used in 5G as a means to keep the subscriber’s IMSI confidential. At the time of network registration, the AMF (Core Access and Mobility Management Function) will allocated the 5G-GUTI, which is comprised of the GUAMI (Globally Unique AMF ID) and the 5G-TMSI (5G Temporary Mobile Subscriber Identity).
