What is the purpose of UWC?
United World Colleges (UWC) is a global movement that makes education a force to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and a sustainable future.
What is the age limit for UWC?
Candidates must be between 16 to 18 years of age at the time of enrolment. However, please note that younger applicants currently in the 10th grade who will be 15 years old at the time of enrolment can also apply and may be invited to selections if they present exceptional applications.

How do I choose my UWC school?
We encourage you to choose up to four UWC schools that you would like to attend. If you’re applying through your national committee, you won’t be able to select the school to apply to but you do have the opportunity to tell us the order of preference for the schools that you’d most like to attend.

How many alumni are there at UWC?
The UWC alumni network is almost 60,000 strong, and our alumni can be found in every corner of the world. Each graduate follows a different path, based on their interests and talents.
When does the academic year start and end at UWC?
Roughly speaking, the academic year at a UWC school or college will start around August, will have a break during the second half of December/early January and will then continue until late May or June.
