Why is there hole in LPG regulator?

Why is there hole in LPG regulator?

Gas Regulators have a small hole for atmospheric equalization and keeps dirt and other unwanted material outside from our regulator. When working with such low pressures, barometric pressure could affect the burner pressure without a vent. Larger regulators have a large vent with a screen over it.

Why LPG cylinders have bottom holes?

There are holes between the LPG cylinder bottom ring and the body. Primary purpose of the holes is for circulation of air between surface and cylinder. Furthermore, the water between the body and the ring will shorten the life of the cylinders as it will cause corrosion. The holes help to drain the water.
