What is a KP-9?
The Kalashnikov USA™ KP-9 is our civilian legal, 9mm semi-auto only AK style pistol based upon the Russian Vityaz submachine gun. The KP-9 also features feed ramps that are specially designed to reliably chamber jacketed hollow point bullets.
Is the KP-9 blowback?
Unlike other AK-style firearms, the KP-9 is blowback operated. The traditional gas piston system in AK-pattern rifles isn’t used here. That said, the finely tuned blowback design shares the reliability of 7.62x39mm rifles.
