Black light technology is a cinch for LED. Most black light LED sources are in the 385-400nm range, though a little lower is considered the sweet spot for creating the optimal black light effect. A fixture or bulb peaking at around 365nm will cover the entire black light spectrum.

Why is there no gray light?

You can’t do it with grey because grey isn’t really a colour with some corresponding wavelength (or combination of wavelengths), but a tone. It’s a dull white, basically. So the closest you get to a grey light is going to be a low intensity white light.

How does Gray exist?

Grey is produced either by using black and white, or by combining equal amounts of cyan, magenta, and yellow. Most greys have a cool or warm cast to them, as the human eye can detect even a minute amount of color saturation. Yellow, orange, and red create a “warm grey”. Green, blue, and violet create a “cool grey”.

Is it OK to wash grey with white?

It’s usually OK to put grays in the whites load with bleach. I would expect some small portion of the grey to be bleached out each time you wash, but my experience is that this is usually almost imperceptible.
