Choso Kamo is the oldest brother of the three Cursed Death Painting Wombs introduced. As explained by the Narrator, there are nine Death Painting Wombs in total and they are beings who were created by the evil Sorcerer Noritoshi Kamo, who wanted to create hybrid beings half Sorcerer and half Curse from aborted fetuses.

In order for Yuji to develop his skills, Gojo had him undergo special training that saw him controlling his emotions and his cursed energy at the same time. By training with the katana Yuta learned to manipulate his cursed energy to a degree and was capable of using it to exorcise curses almost immediately.

Are Choso and Itadori related?

One of the oddest developments from this arc was that the Death Painting Womb Choso had started to call Yuji Itadori his brother, and ally himself with Yuji despite Yuji being the one that killed the other two Death Paintings.

Choso’s father/third parent is actually Yuji’s mother! In the latest chapter, we see Yuji’s mother with stitches eerily similar to Geto and Noritoshi Kamo. Undoubtedly, the Brain was possessing Yuji’s mother too.

Did Choso know about the brain’s involvement with Yuji?

In fact, Choso nearly identified the Brain’s involvement with Yuji. In chapter 139, Choso tells Yuji this: Choso asks Yuji if his father had stitches too. While he was right about the stitches, he didn’t know that Yuji’s mother, not his father, had those stitches.

Can Choso sense Yuji’s death in Chapter 135?

In the following chapter 135, an effect of Choso’s came into light. He can sense the transformation of his younger brothers no matter how far he is. And in Yuji’s case, he sensed Yuji’s death approaching when he should have only sensed about his brothers. This was also similar to how he sensed Noritoshi Kamo’s presence in Geto in chapter 134.
