Can New Jersey residents get a New York library card?
The Tri-State Region is home to the States of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Residents of New York City and people who live, work and/or go to School in New York State are all eligible to a Library Card from the New York Public Library, Brooklyn Public Library and Queens Public Library.
Can I check out books from other libraries?
You can borrow titles from any library as long as you have a library card for it. In certain cases, your library may have a partnership with another library or consortium that lets you borrow titles from the partner’s collection using your normal library card.
