Hard to tell if this is a one-off, however close inspection of the product images on the Deep Cool website does show a bit of roughness along the edges of the heatpipes there too… Thankfully the Cooler Master Hyper 212 had no such problem, with it’s based sanded nice and smooth (no milling marks or shavings visible here).

The Gammax400 can have ram clearance issues with some setups. It is well rated in the lower mid range cooler arena. Both outperform the stock fan buy about 15c at load. The 400 is a clone.
Should I use kryonaut or hyper 212 Evo?
Don’t use Kryonaut unless you’re certain to never reach 83C. Beyond that point, it loses its effectiveness. It’s designed for use with AIOs, not low-end coolers. The Gammaxx 400 V1 actually performs better than Hyper 212 EVO by a decent margin actually. And from my own experience, the V2 is even better.
