Travel history is vital for getting visa approvals of various developed countries like the USA, UK, and Australia. Travel history is a track record of your international visits to a foreign country. Every year people change their old passport to a new passport and forget about their recent visits to the countries.

Can I check my old travel history I lost my passport?

If you’re not a EU citizen, you will get a passport stamp at the point of entrance to EU and a stamp at the point of exit. I got an entrance stamp in Germany and an exit stamp in Switzerland on my last trip to Europe.

Is travel history important for Canada student visa?

A travel history is not mandatory for study permit to Canada. It definitely helps if you have a travel history especially if you have travel to US, UK etc. I have seen 100s of students that don’t have a single stamp on their passport that went to Canada on a study permit.

How can I track my travel history?

To view your U.S. travel history, go to the CBP website and click on the “View Travel History” tab. In the next window, you will be required to read and accept terms of the website by clicking “Consent & Continue”. You will need to provide: First (Given) Name – as it appears on the passport/visa.

Is it necessary to keep old passports?

We recommend keeping your old passport in a safe place as it is considered proof of your U.S. citizenship. If your old passport is linked to a valid visa, you can still use the valid visa. You must travel with both your new and old passport in this case.

What information is stored on your passport?

The passport chip contains biometric information that is used to authenticate the identity of the passport holder. Your important information is printed on the data page of the passport and stored in the chip. This includes your name, date of birth and other biographic information.
