Ans : It is because category certificate for the OBC candidates is not needed while applying for GATE 2022. The category certificate is used for the purpose of ascertaining the concession offered in the application fee. The OBC certificate would be needed while taking admission using GATE scores.

Is caste certificate required for GATE exam?
