What is the process after clearing JRF?

After qualifying for NET-JRF, candidates can pursue research in their respective postgraduate disciplines. They choose universities/colleges from NET Coordinating Institutes and enroll themselves for pursuing PhD at different universities/institutes and IIMs.

What if I clear net but not Jrf?

If you qualify JRF, then your NET is automatically cleared. You can become assistant professor after clearing NET as well as JRF. The only difference between these two are that in JRF you get monetary scholarship and in lectureship, you do not get scholarship.

What is JRF (Junior Research Fellowship)?

The award of JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) is given to postgraduate students who are admitted to an M.Phil./PhD programme and after qualifying the UGC-NET/CSIR NET exam. The fellowship is tenable for 2 years in which the fellows receive a monthly stipend of up to INR 28,000 along with contingency grant, escort/reader assistance and HRA.

What is the NET JRF Exam?

Earlier conducted by the CBSE, NET JRF is now conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) on behalf of UGC twice in a year, i.e., during the months of June and December/January. This exam determines the candidates’ eligibility for the award of Junior Research Fellowship.
